We are a boutique family law firm looking to expand. We are looking for an Associate Lawyer to join our team in our family practice or in other complementary practice areas. As a Lawyer, you will be responsible for representing clients in various legal matters. You will provide expert advice and guidance, conduct thorough research, and draft legal documents. Your negotiation skills will be crucial in reaching favorable settlements for your clients. The ability to effectively present cases in court and argue motions is also essential.

**Duties**:

- Represent clients in legal proceedings, such as court hearings, trials, and depositions
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Conduct legal research to gather relevant information and precedents
- Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Present cases in court

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Canlii
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Knowledge of legal drafting techniques and best practices

**Areas of Practice**:

- Family Law
- Wills and Estates
- Real Estate
- Mediation and Arbitration, and/or
- Other related or complementary practice areas

To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law. Strong negotiation skills are a must, along with proficiency in using legal research tools like Canlii. Mediation or Arbitration training and experience are a definite asset. Excellent writing skills are required for drafting accurate and persuasive legal documents. Knowledge of legal drafting techniques and best practices will also contribute to your success.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,525.16-$204,624.90 per year
