**Materials Supervisor**
**What does a Materials Supervisor do?**
- Responsible for monitoring all customer portals daily to ensure all requirements are met. Takes action to address and resolve issues or requirement shortfalls. This includes managing all aspects related to USMCA Certificates etc.
- Will be an integral part of new product launches, ensuring part number availability of needed materials. Works with Materials Team and Engineering to ensure BOM’s and Routings are set up to support launches and follows up on any potential obsolescence.
- Will serve as a back up to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor as needed, including potential coverage of Stats not recognized in the U.S. and Saturday shipments.
- Responsible working with customers to develop and implement a strategic plan/system to ensure a steady supply of returnable dunnage. This will include overseeing the management of the Portals for tracking purposes.
- Responsible for the development, assessment, or changes of activities related to the maintenance of our ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 quality programs and working with cross functional teams to ensure Materials compliance to audit standards/requirements.
- Responsible for managing a 10,000sq/ft off-site warehouse including the assessment and management of service part requirements, and coordination of shipments, tools, space/organization, and inventory accuracy.
- Responsible for all inbound releases, analyzing available space, addressing space issues, and coordinating releases accordingly.
- Will work with the team on Plant Layout improvements and will manage/coordinate inbound freight to ensure adequate available space for raw materials.
- Will work and interface with Customers to generate quotes for service parts and coordinate with cross functional teams to see through the completion/shipment of service parts produced.
- Responsible for setting up and adjusting Customer Packaging, will work with Engineering as well as the customer.
- Will work to develop and implement programs and strategies aimed at improving the plants adherence to CTPAT requirements (within scope achievable at plant level).
- Will become familiar with all aspects and positions within the Materials Team to serve as a back up to various functions within the Materials Group as needed.
- Provides support to other plants as required.
**What you bring to the table**
- 2 - 4 Year college/university diploma or degree in Materials/Logistics Management
- 1 - 2 Years of Supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (preferably in the plastics industry).
- 3 - 5 Years Materials Department experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- 3 - 5 Years experience with MRP systems
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (is an asset)
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and implementation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
**Salary Range**:
- **$70,000 - $80,000.00 (Salary is dependent on experience)**
- Previous experience is required, but we are open to individuals with previous transferable skills such as: Materials, Supervisor, Supply Chain, Logistics, Shipping, Coordinator, etc _
