Working closely with other members of the housekeeping team and your attentiveness, efficiency, and commitment will ensure our guest rooms are cleaned to the highest standard.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:

- Consistently offer professional and friendly service
- Clean all assigned guest rooms including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies
- Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Update and record all cleaned rooms
- Return and properly tag all lost and found articles in the Housekeeping Office
- Report necessary maintenance items
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies
- Be flexible to working hours
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Previous housekeeping experience an asset
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

**Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to)**:

- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Courtenay, BC V9N 2L8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)

- English (required)
