The Ministry of Education, Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf in Belleville, Provincial and Demonstration Schools Branch, require ASL-English Interpreters to provide interpreting services in educational and resource services programs for students and staff who do not share the same language or culture.

Mandatory requirements**:
- Degree or Diploma in ASL-English Interpreting
- Fluency in American Sign Language and English- ** Knowledge and Skills**: Your background and experience enables you to meet the following requirements:
Ability to interpret in a wide range of formal, informal, educational and professional settings.- Knowledge and understanding of the Professional Code of Ethics of the Canadian Association of Sign Language Interpreters (CASLI).
- Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of Deaf culture.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience interpreting in both small and large group settings.
