**What we offer**
As a Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and executing our supply chain and procurement strategy across SAMI’s business units. This role will focus on day-to-day procurement operations, vendor management, and sourcing efficiencies, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance requirements. You’ll help drive value through effective purchasing processes, cost management, and relationship development with suppliers. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow with an innovative and fast-paced organization, contributing to the ongoing development of our procurement practices.
**What you’ll do**
- Support the development and implementation of procurement processes and procedures, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with business needs
- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities including sourcing, negotiating, ordering, and vendor coordination
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable delivery, competitive pricing, and quality standards
- Collaborate with internal teams across departments to understand purchasing requirements and support project needs
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and reporting related to procurement activities
- Assist with contract review, supplier vetting, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies
- Track vendor performance, contract milestones, and agreement timelines; support renewal or termination processes as needed
- Monitor industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and market dynamics to support cost-saving initiatives
- Leverage procurement tools and systems to improve efficiency, document control, and visibility
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and cost reduction
- Support initiatives related to supply chain automation and sustainability
- Perform other duties as assigned
**What you bring**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
- Solid understanding of procurement best practices and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools; ERP experience is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative approach and a continuous improvement mindset
**Bonus Points**
- Experience in a manufacturing or construction-related environment
- Familiarity with logistics or warehouse coordination
- Knowledge of materials used in residential construction, cabinetry, HVAC, or appliances
