**Sales Coordinator**
DP Murphy Inc is looking for a full time Sales Coordinator to join our award winning Moncton team. **RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To be one of the first point of contact for incoming sales calls, and to respond in a quick, timely and professional manner
- To be the point person for all groups and to assist in overall efforts through effective oral and written communication in meeting our clients and guest needs
- Ensures guest satisfaction by dealing with guests in a pleasant, courteous, and professional manner, answering any questions and following up on requests and problems promptly
- Responsible for maximizing the selling, up-selling and cross selling hotel rooms by turning prospect clients into hotel guests
- Efficiently handle any function of Guest Services including reservations, telephone enquiries, guest check in and out etc., in accordance with hotel policies and procedures
- Maximize hotel's revenue and occupancy by turning prospect callers and clients into hotel guests
- Operates the front office computer systems, posts all guest charges and payments incurred during the shift and balances shift totals with backup documents
- Maintain the sales and guest services files to ensure a proper flow of information within the hotel
- Follows up on progress of groups booked, such as room pick-up, rooming lists, and cut-off dates with the Reservation to ensure maximum occupancy on a weekly basis
- Complete or assist with various aspects of pre-event, main even and post-event details; communicate with our external partners to ensure a smooth event
- Learn and use Sales CRM as it relates to sales processes and understand the hotel sales strategies
- Work diligently to complete assigned tasks and responsibilities as needed
- Flexible schedule to accommodate different shifts, before/after hour events and travel as required
- Perform any reasonable requests as assigned or directed by management
**SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum one (1) years' experience in hospitality
- Certificate / Degree in Business or Hospitality Management an asset
- Experience/knowledge within the Moncton market is an asset
- Excellent prioritization, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic and self-starting personality with an even disposition
- Able to work as a team player
- Highly organized and time efficient
- Related experience with Front Desk operations an asset
- High proficiency in operation of computers
- Able to handle difficult situations, accommodate special requests
- Professional in appearance and demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to maintain a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends & holidays
- Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment with mínimal supervision
- Criminal Background Required
- Proficient in English language, both written and oral, Bilingualism is an asset.
- Must already be legally permitted to work in Canada
Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
