**POSITION**: Compliance Officer
**LOCATION**: Toronto, ON.
**STATUS**: Contract

**JOB OVERVIEW**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Assist in data management for various systems and Enterprise Compliance programs.
- Assist in the development of management reporting, including the development and reporting of KPIs and Metrics based existing data and designing systems to collect data.
- Review and investigate potential and/or actual compliance issues as they arise and escalating issues in alignment with standardized processes and procedures.
- Arrange meetings for Senior Vice President, Global Compliance, take notes and develop draft decks, presentations as required.
- Arrange, confirm and prepare briefings for meetings by obtaining relevant and critical information, materials and research prior to each meeting
- Attend meetings and record minutes with action items and carry out appropriate follow-ups.
- Assist with Enterprise Compliance projects and programs as needed.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**
- Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Data Science, Data Analytics or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in Legal, Compliance, Risk, Internal Audit or working with IT systems related to Legal, Compliance, Risk or Internal Audit required; preferably within the securities industry.
- Knowledge and experience in advance analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources preferred.
- Expertise in visualization tool e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau preferred.
- Professional written, verbal, analytical, organizational, problem solving and presentational skills.
- Ability to understand and develop business process and controls.
- Comfortable working in situations with no clear answer.
- Ability to prioritize projects and responsibilities.
- Self-starter and willingness to contribute where there is a need within the team.
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic and high-growth environment.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry guidance applicable to the securities industry.
- Fully proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Visio, Excel, Word, Power Point and various and specialized software.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
