**Job Overview**:
**Accountabilities**:
**Operations Applications**:

- Provide support for but not limited to ERP functionality and issues, Logistics and Transportation Software, Scale Management Software, Human Capital Management (HCM), Sales Management System (SMS), Computer-Assisted Ordering (CAO), Ordering, Production planning, Shrink Management, and Benchmark Software etc.
- Review current configuration and reporting of Periscope, to ensure effective use of tool.

**Business Analysis and Reporting**:

- Ongoing review and analysis of operational KPI reporting; recommending opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Reporting of CI Benchmark scores; identification trends and providing recommendations to improve/sustain CI principles.
- Support reports in Reporting Services

**Process Improvement**:

- Support the discovery, development and execution of Lean opportunities, process, and technology improvements to optimize overall business performance and execution, e.g., improvement of Chemical Supply Management, revise procedures for inventory taking and management.
- Support “Process Review” sessions to ensure full system utilization.
- Working closely with operations team (Stores, Fresh Manufacturing, Distribution Centre, and Support Centre) identifies process reengineering opportunities and recommends solutions that support the operations strategic business plan.

**Budget Planning and On-Going Monitoring**:

- Assists the Director, Continuous Improvement in determining CI budget requirements.
- Advises of potential impact of recommended improvement projects to operating budgets.
- Performs analysis of business initiatives to determine impact on labour, merchandising, and guest service.

**Additional Responsibilities**:

- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned to specific role, including one or more of the following:

- Analytics and coaching support for inventory management in the business units
- Responsible for benchmarking stores against CI principles (5S, preferred methods and inventory management) and identify stores requiring additional support and coaching.
- Develop business case recommendations for improving efficiency, effectiveness, and service.
- Assist the manager in specialized projects within business units in various capacities.
- Influence and support Continuous Improvement Coaches across stores and functional unites

**Knowledge, Skills & Competencies**:

- Post-Secondary education preferably in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Commerce, Business, Math / Computer Sciences or Engineering, OR equivalent work experience
- 2 - 3 years experience in the grocery industry with proven experience in project leadership Strong project management skills: ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong planning, budgeting, and operational skills
- Working knowledge of MS Suite
- particularly Excel, Visio, ERP systems and databases (i.e. MicroStrategy)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong team building skills are necessary. Must be able to prioritize & collaborate.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools an asset
- Demonstrate high level of judgment and decision making.
- Sound economic thinking skills with the ability to make informed and logical decisions.

**Working Conditions**:

- Work is performed in a standard office environment with participation in in-person meetings and online meetings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities often within tight deadlines.
- At times may be required to work outside of normal Business hours
- Travel to various business units and supplier locations will be required
