**Job Purpose**
- The assistant site manager is to ensure that the site manager is supported in managing onsite activities, overseeing trades, and upholding the safety and quality of Averton construction sites.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Become familiar with the project plans, specifications, and schedules with a view to identifying and reporting potential construction problems
- Aiding in the opening of the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the work day
- Ensure the scope of works and standard site expectations are being followed by all parties (Averton workers and contractors
- Maintain control and responsibility for the security and safe operation of Averton owned and/or externally rented equipment on the job site
- Maintain a safe job site including completing the required safety assessments for your person and contractors on site
- Identify and report contractor non-compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality standards
- Aid the site manager in monitoring labour, material, and equipment
- Ensures that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner, including occasional site cleans
- Aid in service and warranty duties from time to time
- Have and maintain a clean driving record and valid drivers licence
- Have the ability to operate light power tools on a daily basis to complete required assigned tasks from site managers

**Direct Reports**
- No direct reports, however, collaborates with site manager and construction manager regularly

**Working Conditions**
- In site office for construction coordination
- On active construction site daily
- Lifting and moving of materials
- Manual labour as required

**Physical Demands**
- Manual labour as required, driving from site to site, first on site and last to leave

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
