Almadina Language Charter Academy Ogden Campus, seeks an experienced, dynamic Middle School Librarian starting for the 2025-2026 school year.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement a comprehensive information literacy curriculum in the Middle School
- Design and teach integrated research skills and provide reading support for Classes
- Collaborate with teachers in Classes 5-9. skills that incorporate the use of information literacy and technology.
- Advocate for and appreciate Middle School students
- Understand the needs of and enjoy working with adolescents
- Promote a lifelong love of reading and a robust reading culture through regularly scheduled book clubs, book talks, displays, etc.
- Ensure the library collection represents a diverse and multicultural range of authors and topics
- Empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, and skillful researchers
- Be a proactive member of the Library Department
- Develop and maintain Middle School library curriculum, scope, and sequence
- Oversee the maintenance of the Middle School library’s collection, including circulation, collection development, inventory, and evaluation
- Play an active role in special events such as book fairs
- Assist with supervisory tasks, library monitoring, and other duties as assigned
- Support and participate in a professional learning community
- Create a joyful, vibrant, and welcoming environment

**Qualifications**:

- At least 3 years of librarian experience, including cataloging and shelf organization

Well-organized, flexible, curious, enthusiastic, and with extensive knowledge of young adult literature
- Strong knowledge of the content area, related to Middle School learners and readers
- Facilitates access to information and resources within a library
- Curate collections, develop educational programs, manage databases, and oversee the library
- An understanding of the scope and the sequence of library and information literacy curriculum - Experience in evaluating and selecting print and digital resources with a commitment to equity and inclusion
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to proactively collaborate with students, faculty, and parents
- Technology and Software Knowledge: G Suite for Education, Microsoft Office, Insignia Library Manager, LibGuides, social networking, database, and digital content.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $31,500.00-$40,113.00 per year
