We are currently looking for a School Librarian for Green Dome Islamic School in Calgary, Alberta. If you are a compassionate, self-motivated team player with a specific interest in education, we encourage you to apply.

This is a part time (0.5 FTE) probationary position to commence August 25, 2025. You will work 17.5 hours per week supporting the operations of the School Library. You will be responsible for organizing, maintaining and distributing learning resources through an automated library management system and are expected to assist students and staff in gathering resources and information. You will also be expected to assist with supervision and other administrative duties as necessary.

A high school diploma is required. Preference may be given to an applicant who holds a post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field significant to the position. You must be computer literate with effective working skills with Microsoft Office. Experience working with a Library System is an asset. You must be able to exhibit the associated skills to communicate with students and teachers in a meaningful and professional manner. You will be expected to present yourself as an organized and professional representative of the staff, both in person, on the telephone and through correspondence. Previous experience working within a fast-paced, team environment would be an asset.
