Apex Aluminum is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. With a 170,000 square foot aluminum extrusion facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, Apex can offer custom extrusions, mill finish aluminum and anodized aluminum to satisfy the most demanding customer and all architectural needs.
As a Packaging Destacker, you will be responsible for removing aluminum extrusions from the cooling table, stacker, or transfer area and place them onto packaging tables or racks. This position reports directly to the Packaging Supervisor and has the following general duties and responsibilities assigned to their role.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Visually inspect each profile for defects such as bends, scratches, or surface imperfections.
- Sort and separate extrusions based on length, order specification, or packaging requirement.
- Operate destacking equipment (manual or automated) as per safety and quality guidelines.
- Assist with tagging, bundling, or wrapping material according to customer or internal packaging standards.
- Coordinate with the packaging team to ensure continuous material flow and timely order fulfillment.
- Handle materials safely in accordance with established safety and operational procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the destacking and packaging area.
- Report damaged profiles, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
- Support cycle counts, inventory checks, or packaging material replenishment as needed.
- Follow all workplace safety rules, PPE requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

**Required Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Capability to measure, weigh, and note down exact numbers accurately.
- Ability to identify damaged products and take appropriate action.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds during shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
