The course emphasizes writing as (a) a means to enhance intellectual discovery and reflection, and (b) to demonstrate learning in a variety of rhetorical contexts. Its integrated curriculum promotes sequenced learning and skills practice while focussing on critical thinking and reading, careful analysis, strategies of effective argument and use of evidence, and effective communication for diverse audiences.
