Continuing Care Assistant

**Duties**:

- Provide assistance and support to patients under the supervision of a nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare and serve meals to patients according to their dietary needs and restrictions
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a care assistant or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic caregiving principles and techniques
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting

**Salary**: $18.64-$24.09 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday

- Halifax, NS B3K 5B2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
