**Urgently Hiring Care Continuing Assistant worker at Nova Scotia**

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. As a Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to patients in nursing homes, hospice care, and assisted living facilities. Your role will involve patient care, medication administration, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for seniors.

**Duties**:

- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for patients
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to promote social interaction and emotional well-being
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families

**Requirements**:
1.Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not required

2.Knowledge of senior care practices and techniques Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team

3.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

4.Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others

5.Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism

6.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

7.Continuing Care Assistant Certificate is a must

8.COVID -19 full vaccination Proof is a must as per government's guidelines.

9.TB Test (Valid and Recent)

10.Vulnerable sector check form( Valid and recent)

11.Immunization record ( complete and valid)

Please note that this position may require heavy lifting at times & **YOU MUST DRIVE** or should be able to commute to the workplace and Accommodation can be scheduled.

We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate and energetic individual to be a valuable part of our organization.

HOURLY RATE: PSW- 25$ -35$ /hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

- Halifax, NS B3K 3S5: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Continuing Care Assistant Certification (preferred)
