We have an opportunity for a QC Tech at our pulse plant located in Scarborough, ON.
** THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION 6PM TO 4AM **

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Verifying line hygiene, sanitation and pre-op inspections.
- Collecting and managing retained samples of incoming shipments and productions and comparing against standards.
- Verifying and approving raw materials.
- Performing routine line checks to ensure SOP and CCPs are respected.
- Monitoring and train team in GMP and HACCP protocols.
- Participating in Health and Safety program.
- Preparing customer samples.
- Assisting QA Manager where required.
- Assisting and participating in overall GFSI program

**COMPETENCIES**:

- Dynamic, organized and able to proactively improve overall QA program.
- Have good interpersonal skills to motivate and train staff.
- Be able to multitask and work under pressure.
- Have good knowledge of computers - MS Office, Internet - ERP an asset.
- Have good knowledge of GMP, HACCP - GFSI (SQF) an asset.

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**:

- Over 1 years of food quality and safety experience, GMP, Cleaning & sanitation & equipment verification.
- Over 1 years’ experience in food plant CCP, quality and safety operational monitoring.
- Mandatory working knowledge of working exposure in food safety, Health & Safety, HACCP and GMP would be an asset.
- Must have quality & food safety plant level experience.
