Landmark Drilling Services ltd. is currently seeking experienced geotechnical/environmental drillers for projects throughout Western Canada and the Northwest Territories. Landmark Drilling Services ltd. operates a well-maintained fleet of geotechnical and environmental drills. The work is outdoors year-round, in all weather, physically demanding and requires frequent travel out of town.

The Driller will be responsible for moving, setting up, and operating drilling rigs and related equipment while following Landmark Drilling's procedures in a safe and productive manner. The Driller is also responsible for the total operation and safety of the drilling equipment, and crew members at all times.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Moving, setting up, and operating drilling equipment and related equipment/systems while following Landmark Drilling's procedures.
- To monitor instruments such as pressure gauges, feed or weight indicators, and to ensure no damage to equipment while operating.
- To ensure driller assistant maintains and organizes equipment, supplies & tooling for the drill rig & support vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance on various pieces of equipment as required to ensure optimal performance.
- To work safely and follow all health and safety guidelines.

**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 3 years minimum experience operating geotechnical auger drills, direct push drills, and/or coring drills.
- Experience with solid & hollow stem augering, split spoon sampling, casing & coring, shelby tubes, vane shear testing, packer testing, direct push sampling.
- Experience installing observation, and multi-level monitoring wells.
- Class 3 drivers license at a minimum

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be physically able to perform drilling operations and move heavy materials up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work long hours in all weather conditions.
- Have mechanical ability to troubleshoot and/or repair equipment.
- Have a valid license to operate commercial vehicles.
- Must perform both shop based and field-based work activities.
- Must be reliable, hardworking, and safety-oriented.
- Geoprobe drill operating experience preferred but not required.

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
