**Salary**: $2,694.27 to $3,537.86 bi-weekly $70,320 - $92,338/year.

Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for leading the development of the provincial Capital Plan, which addresses the provincial infrastructure needs of Alberta’s population that support key social programs and services and economic development.

The Ministry designs, builds, manages, and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that school and hospital infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. Infrastructure provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

- Assisting Senior Project Manager in monitoring and controlling the delivery of school projects managed by PDC - Project Delivery Consultant.
- Assisting Project Managers in the delivery and implementation of school projects, including DBB, DB, and CM; from design development through construction, building commissioning and turnover stages for assigned capital projects.

The Project Coordinator is a liaison between the client/user, consultants and the construction team and must balance client/user needs within project constraints, obtaining maximum cooperation between client/user groups, support departments, external agencies, consultants, and contractors.

As a member of the Project Team, the Project Coordinator will manage the control, distribution, processing, and maintenance of all contract documents including plans, drawings, as-builts, change orders, detailed designs, TSB reviews, conduct site review for quality control and advise on project(s) schedule status. The incumbent will develop processes and systems to ensure documents are reviewed and processed quickly and documents meet ministry standards. The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for Project reporting (PRS, PFMT), cash flow projections, monthly and weekly reporting on PDC consultant progress.

The Project Coordinator is a key member of the project team and supports the delivery of school projects to ensure they are delivered within scope, budget, time, and quality to client's satisfaction.

The primary responsibilities for the Project Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

- Support SPMs and PMs in planning, organizing, monitoring, and controlling construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Prepare tender documents: RFQ, RFP for Consultant and Construction services
- Prepare contracts amendments and change orders and revisions to contractual agreements with consultants and contractors
- Coordinate Technical Services Branch design reviews and maintaining tracking sheets with outstanding issues
- Monitor and Control quality assurance on Construction Projects -sporadically including site visits.

- Sort and file construction administration documents according to established filing systems, locate and retrieve documents from files as requested and maintain records of filed and removed materials (SharePoint)
- Ensuring design submissions, as-builts and Operational and Maintenance manuals received from consultants are recorded and properly filed
- Providing general information to stakeholders: consultants, contractors and regarding AI program rules, regulations, and procedures
- Reviewing and analyzing site reports to ensure that projects are progressing, and that issues and problems are addressed and resolved
- Preparing project cashflows, track invoices and expenditures- Considerable interpersonal skills for clear communication with Stakeholders: school jurisdictions, client ministries, consultants, and contractors within team concept.
- Technical knowledge to read and interpret contracts and contract documents.

**Required**:

- Two-year diploma in Engineering or related discipline PLUS 6 years of related experience

**Equivalency**: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

- 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
- 1 year of experience for 1 year of education

**Assets**:

- Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) designation
- Knowledge of School Capital Manual and Education Act
