Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join our team. As a Technician, you will be responsible for working as a team member, liaising with other departments, completing day-to-day tasks including, greeting customers, answering queries, providing information on products, preparing orders and deliveries, loading and unloading deliveries. Performing a variety of tasks related to plant care and maintenance, nursery sales and customer service.

**Duties**:

- Greet customers and answer queries on products in Nursery
- Assist with receiving shipments, verify counts and complete documentation
- Ensure that department and products are maintained; dead-heading, watering, re-potting, etc.
- Clean, organize and maintain sales area and displays
- Liaise with other departments as required.
- Participate and ensure Health and Safety compliance
- Create a positive shopping experience for customers
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Other duties as required.

**Skills**:

- Completion of Horticulture Technician program recommended
- 1-2 year of garden centre, horticulture, landscape retail experience recommended
- Good organization skills. Able to manage time effectively
- Fluent in English Knowledge of other languages an asset.
- Positive and friendly attitude, works well in a team environment
- Flexible availability. Days, evenings, weekends, including holidays as required.
- Able to comfortably lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Able to lift, bend and twist. Required to work outdoors, safety boots required.

Pay: From $16.71 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 37.5 per week
