The Greenhouse & Annuals Horticulture Technician Team Lead WAGE RANGE: $19 to $22 an hour JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Greet customers and create a positive shopping experience. Provide informed knowledge on products and services to customers. Train and supervise staff. Foster a positive team environment. Manually receive shipments, verify counts and process returns. Complete documentation. Liaise with Office for product shortages, damages, etc. upon arrival. Price, merchandise and create displays for products. Maintain product displays to promote and encourage sales. Be sales orientated in regards to weekly sales and promotions. Delegate duties to ensure products are maintained; dead‑headed, watered, re‑potted, etc. Coordinate and confirm staff scheduling based on business needs. Liaise with other departments as required. Participate and ensure Health and Safety compliance. Other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 5 year experience in a Garden Centre environment. Minimum 2 year experience in a Supervisory or Team Lead experiences in Retail. Proficient communication skills, organization and multitasking skills. Able to manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Able to manage and delegate staff. Work well in a team environment. Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as required. Highly motivated, positive and friendly attitude. Able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, bend and twist. Required to work outdoors. Lakeside Garden Gallery is an equal opportunity employer.
