**Built Environment Team**

The Analyst, Research and Policy on the Built Environment team in the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention division of Peel Public Health will support the advancement of
**healthier built environments** through critical program and policy analysis, monitoring and assessing of legislation, analyzing data, completing evidence reviews, and writing reports/corporate communications. This position will work closely with Public Works (e.g., Transportation, Planning) at the Regional and local municipal level.

**Research and Policy Planning Team**

The Analyst, Research and Policy on the Research, Policy and Planning team in the Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention division of Peel Public Health will support the advancement of **chronic disease and injury prevention** through critical program and policy analysis, monitoring and assessing of legislation, analyzing data, completing evidence reviews, and writing reports/corporate communications.

**Emergency Management & MOH Support/Internal Communications Team**

The Analysts, Reach and Policy, will be part of the Office of the Medical Officer of Health and will support a number of activities in a diverse portfolio that includes change management, development of key messages and communication products and other internal communication products to employees, including planning and facilitation of live events. The Analysts will also support issue management, strategic decision making through briefings, facilitation of meetings and discussions, and collaborative work with a number of internal partners to advance projects, internal processes and policy analysis.

**Mass Vaccination Program/Immunization Services Division**

The Analyst, Research and Policy within the Mass Vaccination Program/Immunization Services Division will support internal change management tactics and communications related to the Mass Vaccination Program at the Region of Peel. This position will work closely with public health leadership and provide strategic expertise and analysis to inform change management tactics and communications with a variety of stakeholders.

The Analyst, Research and Policy (Physician Support) within the Mass Vaccination Program/Immunization Services Division will support physician engagement and communication related to COVID-19 vaccination in physician-led clinics in Peel. This position will provide strategic expertise and analysis to enable and expand physician participation in COVID-19 vaccination efforts in Peel.

The Research and Policy Analyst provides research and analysis, project leadership and strategic and policy advice using a broad public health perspective. The incumbent provides expert guidance and advice on the development and implementation of programs, policies, processes and objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitors, identifies, analyzes and provides recommendations on trends, risks and opportunities
- Provides expert interpretation of legislation and internal policies and procedures
- Applies advanced knowledge of public health and/or technical knowledge regarding population health, social determinants of health, epidemiology and evidence-informed decision making
- Synthesizes research evidence and participates in research projects
- Interprets and analyzes complex information to provide strategic recommendations that will guide policy and programming decisions
- Analyzes information to identify emerging issues and trends and incorporates relevant findings into recommendations for policy and program development
- Monitors, develops, implements and advocates for policies that will have positive population health implications
- Provides expert guidance to the program and evaluation planning process
- Develops and maintains cooperative, collaborative and strategic relationships with internal and external partners
- Collaborates with a wide variety of experts, corporate staff and federal, provincial and regional colleagues
- Ensures that issues of diversity, ethnicity, language and culture are reflected in research and policy analyses
- Prepares complex and specialized documentation, reports and statistical analyses
