**DESCRIPTION**

As Salesperson, you are responsible for supporting the operation of the store, ensuring maximum sales

and profitability through product knowledge, merchandising and inventory control. In addition, this

position is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by promoting and executing

consistent operating conditions, providing personalized, knowledgeable service in a warm, inviting store

environment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure that each customer receives excellent customer service by providing a friendly
- environment, including greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, and solid product knowledge.
- Understand and support store operations, policies, and procedures.
- Support in-store events as directed by the Store Manager (wine tasting, contest, promotions) with internal and external partners.
- Safeguard and account for all money and responsibility for all banking requirements.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas. Complete other general cleaning tasks, such as mopping floors, and emptying trash cans.
- Observe customers and check identification for proof-of-age; deny sale of alcohol to underage or intoxicated customers.
- Notify Store Manager of team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICAITONS**
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Physical Requirements include
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Standing for long periods of time

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- High school diploma or equivalent would be an asset but not mandatory
- Strong oral, and verbal communication skills
- Must be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Interest or passion for wine, beer and spirits and the willingness to learn more.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $13.65 per hour
