We are looking for a Plant Manager who has intensive experience working in unionized environment to join our team in Mississauga. Plant Manager is responsible for overall effectiveness of day-to-day manufacturing operations through direction of personnel in the management of safety, quality, customer service, efficient utilization of resources, equipment, materials and manpower procedures and programs.
**OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Overall production management duties
- Ensure adherence to position related SOPs, QMS, ISO9001 and ISO13485.
- Follow all the applicable Health Canada and CSA z314 MDR regulations.
**MAIN DUTIES**
Plant Manager is responsible for:
- Evaluate production efficiencies and optimize processes to ensure elements of Lean are incorporated within the operations environment
- Develop and maintain all aspects of production and operations related to our onsite reprocessing business
- Maintain optimal production throughput levels and manage any variances to the objectives outlined in our Production schedule
- Ensuring timely delivery of products, along with associated quality metrics and key performance indicators
- Analyze cost and quality data and implement changes to support effective work assignments and the optimization of our processes
- Manage all aspects of work performance, work assignment while ensuring the correct levels of staffing are available to support Production
- Support the Occupational Health and Safety program to ensure a healthy, safe and active workplace is available to all employees
- Partake in the necessary committees of our business to support quality and the Canadian Standards related to Reprocessing
- Ensure the financial elements related to Production are adhered to and managed / budgeted accordingly.
- Support & execute elements of the Quality Management Systems i.e. SOP, policies, forms and general documentation is completed accurately.
- Manage Non-Conformances, corrective actions and initiate Root Cause Analysis, where required.
- Maintain the integrity of the organization and the practices they follow
- Assist in investigations and reporting of accidents and incidents
**HEALTH & SAFETY COMPLIANCE**
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Regulations.
- Conduct Health and Safety walk throughs and inspections.
- Participates in Evacuation Drills—staff education on nearest exits.
- Training required: WHMIS
- Enforce employee adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) polices
- Promote safe workplace practices and prevent workplace accidents.
- Follows SteriPro Safety Rules.

**Educational / Professional Development / Work Experience Requirements**
- A college diploma or university degree in Operations Management
- Minimum 3 - 7 years of strong supervisory or management experienced in a manufacturing or production environment, prefarably in the field of Medical Device Reprocessing
- Experience supervising or managing unionized employees
- Quality systems or ISO course
**Technical**:
- Knowledge of labour relation and human resources practices and procedures including Occupational Health and Safety
- Ability to read and interpret contract and collective agreement language
- Ability to interpret collective agreement language
- Strong knowledge of lean, ISO, and throughput methodologies
- Identify and track trends and implement best practices
- Understanding of KPIs, accreditation, CSA and other standards and metrics.

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
