Supermarket Department Head/supervisor

**RESPONSIBILIIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Responsible for managing department’s inventory, in-stock position, pricing integrity, merchandising, labor, and other operational processes to company standards.
- Ensure all new department employees receive proper training and supervision.
- Allocate team members within the department to achieve optimum effectiveness based on business volume and workloads.
- Effectively control Department inventory, coordinating quantities ordered and delivery dates according to turnover (FIFO), product expiry dates and storage facilities
- Responds to customer enquiries, providing information concerning merchandise selection and prices.
- Transfer inventory stocks from storage room/cooler/freezer to shelves to ensure sufficient stocks are available for customer to purchase, which may require some lifting.
- Ensures products with expiry dates are acceptable as per requirements when delivered, and stocks are rotated to maintain standards of quantity and to minimize waste.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent team building skills.
- Well knowledge on resources allocation.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a talent for building customer loyalty.
- Strong motivational, leadership skills & organizational abilities
- Able to prioritize multi tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to operate in changing temperatures on a regular basis.
- Able to walk & stand for extended periods of time.
- Need to be able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Advanced **English & Chinese** Language skills is preferred.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail management: 3 years (preferred)
