**Job Overview**
The Victoria Conservatory of Music (VCM) is looking for a reliable individual to join our Facilities team in a full-time capacity. This role is primarily focused on ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for our students, staff, and visitors.

**Responsibilities**
- Keeping building and property in clean and orderly condition.
- Performing routine cleaning activities, including:

- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming floors.
- Scrubbing, sanitizing, and suppling restroom facilities.
- Dusting furniture, walls, and equipment.
- Cleaning windows, mirrors, and partitions.
- Preparing and mixing cleaning solutions.
- Setting up rooms and equipment for classes and lessons.
- Facilitating room entry/control of faculty and students.

- Ability to multi-task and exercise good judgment when prioritizing assigned duties.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with management.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with a range of people from different backgrounds.
- Strong work ethic, combining energy and stamina.
- Understanding of and commitment to creating a work environment that is inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible.
- High level of professionalism with good judgement and discretion.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Previous experience and WHIMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) training an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
