We are a community that inspires, nurtures, and enriches through excellence in music education, performance, and wellness.Key Responsibilities Keeping building and property in clean and orderly conditionPerforming routine cleaning activities, including: Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming floorsScrubbing, sanitizing, and suppling restroom facilitiesDusting furniture, walls, and equipmentCleaning windows, mirrors, and partitionsPreparing & mixing cleaning solutions Setting up rooms & equipment for classes and lessonsFacilitating room entry/control of faculty and students Qualifications and Requirements Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and proceduresExperience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutionsAbility to lift and carry heavy equipment and objectsAbility to perform repetitive motion for periods of timeBackground in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicalsKnowledge of occupational hazards safety rulesCommunication skillsBuilding Service Worker Level 1 / WHIMIS training/certificate considered an assetA friendly and helpful personality who will interact professionally with students, concertgoers, faculty, staff. Hours: Permanent Full-time position, generally hours/week with days.Compensation: $ plus a competitive benefit package, including a bonus paid vacation week at Winter Break, Extended Health, Dental Health Spending Account, and Personal Wellness Days.Start Date: As soon as possible.A Criminal Record Review is required for all positions at the VCM.
