Position Overview

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be a key executive leader responsible for overseeing the company’s daily operations and driving the execution of its strategic vision. This role requires a proven operator who can scale a capital-intensive, technically complex business at the intersection of energy and technology. The COO will be accountable for operational excellence, efficiency, compliance, and growth—ensuring that our AI data center deployments and energy assets are delivered on time, on budget, and at institutional-grade standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic & Operational Leadership
- Translate the CEO’s strategic vision into actionable operational plans across energy production, data center deployment, and corporate functions.
- Build and scale repeatable systems for site development, construction, commissioning, and operation of AI power/data facilities.
- Ensure seamless integration of oil & gas production optimization with power generation and compute operations.

Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations including production, OPEX control, supply chain, facility management, and project execution.
- Lead development of standardized operating procedures, KPIs, and reporting systems to ensure performance transparency.
- Manage relationships with regulators, contractors, JV partners, and technology vendors.
- Maintain compliance with AER, environmental, and safety standards across energy operations.

Financial & Commercial Oversight
- Partner with the CFO to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost discipline.
- Drive efficiency initiatives to lower unit costs and maximize EBITDA per MW/boe.
- Negotiate vendor agreements, service contracts, and infrastructure partnerships.

Team & Culture
- Recruit, mentor, and manage high-performing technical, operational, and project management teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, innovation, and operational discipline.
- Build a scalable organizational structure to support growth from pilot projects to multi-MW rollouts.

**Qualifications**:

- 10+ years of senior leadership in energy, infrastructure, data centers, or related industries.
- Demonstrated success scaling multi-site operations with complex regulatory and capital frameworks.
- Strong background in oil & gas field operations, power generation, or data center facility management.
- Exceptional operational, financial, and risk management skills.
- Proven ability to execute in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments.

Pay: $75,023.20-$245,050.09 per year
