**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Performs all client personal care duties.
- Assists in the preparation of daily meals and nutritional snacks.
- Monitors and assesses client’s well-being and progress.
- Assists with medication management program.
- Documents and informs supervisor of any client changes or incidents.
- Performs the set up and cleaning of program supplies and equipment. Maintains an organized and clean work area by sanitizing all equipment, counters, furniture and laundering of linens according to Agency guidelines and Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC) Best Practice.
- Works with limited supervision and as part of a team of health care professionals.
- On call duties are required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**
- **Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate**
- Physical ability to perform light cleaning and lifting (e.g. washing floors, dusting, laundry, and transferring clients) and knowledge of basic health and safety standards
- Knowledge of the physical, psychological, and other issues faced by vulnerable, frail or marginalized adults and seniors with special needs, which may include cognitive impairments and age-related challenges
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Strong sense of integrity & autonomy
- Immunization for tuberculosis, chickenpox, mumps, and hepatitis B.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Current **Vulnerable Sector Police** check required completed within last 12 months is required.
- This position requires you to be **fully vaccinated against COVID-19** and you must provide Lumacare with proof of vaccination prior to employment.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

- working with older adults: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- PSW Certificate (required)
