We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate Program Worker that enjoys working in a dynamic team environment to serve a diverse client base This individual will desire to contribute to leading practices and demonstrate his/her passion for helping others by promoting healthy living and the importance of social and recreational participation.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Facilitates recreation, social and exercise programs
- Performs all personal care duties
- Assists in the preparation of daily meals and nutritional snacks
- Monitors and supports clients’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being and documents progress
- Documents and informs Team Lead of any changes or incidents. Recommends changes to care plan
- Sets up and cleans up of program equipment and supplies. Maintains an organized and clean work area by sanitizing all equipment, counters, furniture and laundering of linens

**Requirements for the position include**:

- Personal Support Worker Certificate from a recognized institution
- Minimum one year experience working with frail older adults or those living with mild cognitive impairment is required
- Minimum one year experience working in an Adult Day Program and facilitating day programs for older adults is required
- Training and/or experience in de-escalation techniques (an asset)
- Being able to work independently and within a team
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Good knowledge of computers (Word, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English language; proficiency in other languages an asset
- Immunizations for tuberculosis, varicella (chickenpox), mumps and hepatitis B
- A current First Aid & CPR Certifications
- A Current Vulnerable Sector Police check completed within last 12 months
- Mandatory COVID 19 Vaccination is required
