Pomme Natural Market is 100% locally owned and operating a full-service, all natural market currently recruiting for a full time Deli Supervisor with a flexible schedule
- must be available at least one day on the weekend.

Under the supervision of the Deli Manager, this position is responsible for providing top-notch customer service, the preparation of high quality food items, and maintaining all company standards through adhering to all safety and hygiene procedures.

Other Responsibilities

**Supports the Deli Manager to**:

- Provide excellent customer service
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints in a professional manner
- Place orders, stock, rotate, merchandise, and face product according to department procedures
- Receive product deliveries ensuring order and invoice accuracy
- Supervise and train department staff and provide regular feedback
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe back-stock room
- Examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished
- Create displays
- Perform weekly shifts as a key holder; opening and closing the store
- Liaise and communicate effectively with corporate, management, and store-level personnel
- Work closely with the Deli and Production leadership teams to oversee the functions of the department
- Prepare or cook high quality natural foods in accordance to our delicious recipes
- Clean the preparation area, equipment and Deli in accordance to Health and Safety policies
- Assist the Deli Manager with inventory counts and cost control
- Maintain a positive work environment
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory requirements
- Serve as a role model for Pomme's vision and instills these values in team members
- Cover additional shifts as necessary in order to meet the operational needs of the store
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed

**Qualifications/Requirements**:
If you think you are the right person for this position you will
- Have previous supervisor/leadership experience (in the food service industry is an asset)
- A valid Food Safe certificate is a significant asset
- Have a passion for food, people, and customer service
- Have the ability to train, coach, and motivate team members
- Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines
- Have an interest in all natural, organic, local and healthy ingredients and foods
- Have the ability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
