**Job Summary**:
The E-Commerce & Digital Content Coordinator is a key contributor to the digital growth and brand presence of the campus bookstore.

This position:

- Oversees the development and optimization of a dynamic e-commerce platform to maximize sales and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Creates and manages an extensive online product catalog with high-quality visuals, compelling descriptions, and strategic promotions.
- Develops and executes targeted, data-driven digital marketing campaigns to expand the bookstore's reach and engagement.
- Aligns marketing initiatives with University brand standards to strengthen community connections and enhance both in-store and online revenue streams.
- Provides marketing and design support for ancillary units, ensuring cohesive and impactful messaging.

**Nature of work**:
The E-Commerce & Digital Content Coordinator reports to the Manager, Retail Operations, and consults frequently with Manager, Ancillary Services.

Key work aspects include:

- Collaborating with bookstore and ancillary unit teams in an office environment.
- Managing digital tools and platforms, including e-commerce websites and marketing software.
- Engaging with University stakeholders to ensure alignment with brand standards and institutional goals.
- Analyzing performance data to refine strategies and achieve measurable results.
- Capturing and editing strong product and branding images.

**Responsibilities/accountabilities**:
The E-Commerce & Marketing Specialist:

- Develops and optimizes the e-commerce platform to enhance functionality, usability, and customer satisfaction.
- Creates and curates a compelling product catalog with engaging descriptions and visuals.
- Monitors and analyzes e-commerce performance metrics, using data to inform strategies and improve results.
- Collaborates with University departments to align marketing efforts with institutional branding and messaging.
- Designs and implements marketing materials for ancillary units, ensuring consistency and impact.
- Stays current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance e-commerce and marketing strategies.
- Engages with campus stakeholders to foster community connections and promote bookstore and ancillary services.
- This role requires innovative problem-solving, cross-platform digital marketing expertise, and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

**Required Skills**:

- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, online merchandising, and digital marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in creating and curating visually appealing product catalogs with compelling descriptions.
- Excellent technical photography skills, including composition, lighting, and post-production editing.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools to monitor and optimize e-commerce performance.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse campus stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for marketing and branding challenges.
- Commitment to producing high-quality visuals and campaigns that align with university brand standards.

**Required Education**:

- Completion of a formal post-secondary/college program of two academic years in e-commerce, photography, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Verification of Academic credentials may be required

**Required Experience**:

- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in e-commerce management and digital marketing, preferably in retail or higher education settings.
- Proven experience with product photography, including the use of DSLR or mirrorless cameras, external lighting kits, and backdrops.
- Expertise in using Adobe Creative Suite products, particularly Photoshop and Lightroom, for high-quality photo editing and graphic design.
- Certification or formal training in photography or digital marketing.
