This position is fast paced and detail oriented, requiring multi-tasking and organizational skills. The shop Forman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our shop and ensuring that all necessary equipment and parts are ordered on a timely basis. In this role, you will supervise all personnel, oversee the management and maintenance of equipment, and ensure the efficiency of operations. You will also be required to manage inventory of parts and supplies as well as order and enforce safety regulations.

To ensure success as a shop foreman, you should be highly organized and have excellent communication skills. Proactively managing the process of ordering, receiving, storing, and returning parts for each order. Ultimately, a top-notch shop foreman should be able to anticipate and address hindrances to operational efficiency.

Duties/Expectations:

- Supervising and training staff, creating and managing the staff, maintenance, and work schedules.
- Enforcing safety regulations and protocols.
- Conducting performance reviews with staff.
- Make work orders for repairs and assign duties
- Performing administrative tasks such as updating and filing equipment orders, stock receipts, and staff schedules
- Accurately identify and purchase parts necessary to complete repairs in the shop in a timely matter.
- Maintenance of parts inventory control and replenishment; organization of the parts room. All inventories removed from storage areas are accounted for on work orders
- Maintaining good communication and client relations with preferred suppliers to locate and order parts
- Receive all parts delivered, confirming the quality, correctness and quantity of parts received, returning any that may be defective or incorrect part.
- Communication between all team members including shop personnel, drivers and accounts payables. Informing mechanics of parts status (arrival, returns, delays etc.)
- Ensure all parts being ordered are coded to correct unit and that all parts ordered are accounted for.
- Researching, costing and delivery of non-contracted parts.
- Update data in the maintenance information systems.
- Prioritize distribution to the shop in accordance with the production schedule.
- Label all parts by the Unit # and store them with the vehicle file and identify unit # on invoices and work orders.
- Communicate all Parts Price Changes to all required team members.
- Monitor performance of parts, materials for warranty.
- Ensure daily reconciliation of the parts vendor invoice history report.
- Participate in weekly shop meetings.

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
