**Salary: $29.40 to $35.42 per hour**

**Position Summary**:
Under the direction of the ARCC Coordinator and working as a member of a multidisciplinary team, this position is responsible for educating the public and promoting the ARCC program and other Violence Against Women services. Overseeing and taking a leadership role in running Anti
- Violence Coalition of Leeds and Grenville (AVCLG) is also an expectation.

This position will work to develop a plan with community stakeholders for early intervention, public education and training opportunities on issues related to violence prevention. This would include presentations to community groups, schools, and community awareness events. Work may require a flexible schedule, including evening work.

**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in women’s’ studies, social sciences, marketing, public administration, and related work experience
- Understanding of gendered based violence and anti-violence initiatives
- Understanding of Trauma Informed Care
- Knowledge of community partners and resources
- Experience in project development, event planning, marketing and communication strategies
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and public education skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Develop a plan for prevention, education and training to raise awareness on the issues of Gender Based Violence
- Provide public education on the Assault Response & Care Centre services
- Develop, organize and maintain resources and materials
- Represent ARCC and AVCLG on community committees and at workshops, displays and community event.
- Assist with content creation for both the ARCC and AVCLG social media platforms
- Collect statistical information and complete AVCLG Budget
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer programs
- Attend and facilitate all AVCLG committee meetings taking minutes, distributing agenda, producing reports and communicating with, and growing the membership
