We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our team and lead projects that are crucial to our continued growth and success. This role will involve reporting directly to the President of the company.
**Job Summary**: As a Technical Project Manager at Cence Power, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of complex hardware, software, and firmware projects related to DC power distribution systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while meeting high-quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Planning and Strategy**:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Create and maintain project documentation.
**Team Leadership**:
- Assemble project teams and assign responsibilities.
- Motivate and lead project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings and ensure effective communication.
**Risk Management**:
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and control project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
**Resource Management**:
- Allocate and manage project resources effectively.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and vendors.
**Quality Assurance**:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements.
- Conduct quality reviews and implement corrective actions as needed.
**Budget and Cost Control**:
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage project finances.
**Timeline Management**:
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Implement changes as necessary to meet project milestones.
**Stakeholder Communication**:
- Maintain strong communication with clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular project status updates and address any concerns or issues.
**Documentation**:
- Ensuring a good level of documentation is maintained across all projects
- Producing project reports for various stakeholders
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science).
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, preferably in a technical field.
- Experience leading product commercialization projects
- Experience leading projects in hardware (schematics, PCB, prototyping, manufacturing), software, and firmware.
- Experience with Agile project management frameworks for software projects.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Previous experience using JIRA software for project management is preferred.
