**JOB SUMMARY**

The Clinical Supervisor is a member of the Leadership Team and reports to the Executive Director. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating programs designed to provide services for individuals experiencing family violence/abuse. The Clinical Supervisor ensures counseling staff and programs operate within the Willow Place Policies and Procedures, the Standards Manual for Women’s Shelters, the Service and Purchase Agreement with Manitoba as well as the Willow Place Clinical Framework. This involves working in a team environment to ensure counselling, protection planning, and education, referrals, advocacy and case management occur according to the established standards and best practices. This includes supervision and oversight of all counselors including hiring, orientation, training, scheduling within the staffing budget, maintaining staff human resource files, staff supervision, performance appraisals and establishing staff learning and development plans.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Master’s degree in the Human Services sector, MSW preferred, (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of two years of experience working in a 24/7 residential facility
- Minimum of two years of experience working within the family violence sector with women, men, children, LGBTQ2 and gender non-binary people
- Minimum of three years of supervisory related experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of family violence and its impact on women, men, children, LGBTQ2 and gender non-binary people
- Excellent inter-personal communication, written communication and conflict resolution skills as problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ability to lean other database programs
- Willingness to pursue challenging learning and development goals
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, be proactive and display leadership
- Ability to support the strategic direction of Willow Place and a healthy, innovative and team oriented workplace
- Ability to work under pressure in a team environment and balance competing demands for time
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of community resources, collaterals and stakeholders
- Current Emergency First Aid, CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate
- Flexible to meet the needs of a 24-hour care facility
- Satisfactory Adult and Child Abuse Registry and Criminal Record Check.

**STAFFING/SUPERVISON**:

- Maintains counselling staff by supporting the Human Resource Coordinator with recruiting, screening, interviewing and recommending hiring of staff to the Executive Director
- Establish and conducts orientation and training of new staff
- Completes human resource and operational requirements including maintaining human resource files and staff scheduling within the staffing budget and the Collective Agreements
- Ensure planning, monitoring, coaching and appraisal of employee performance by conducting and documenting regular supervision, probationary performance evaluations and formal performance evaluations
- Ensures clear and consist procedures are in place to support the smooth functioning for client service

**CASE MANAGEMENT**:

- Provides regular case management support and direction through case meetings and regular supervision
- Ensures that the appropriate connections and referrals occur for the benefit of the clients
- Reviews files and crisis line documentation to monitor the level of service provided to clients, to ensure compliance with standards and policy and procedures. Provides feedback/direction as requires to counselling staff
- Provides direct client service as required

**PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT/EVALUATION**:

- In conjunction with the Executive Director and the Leadership Team, ensures program goals for each service area are current and measureable
- Review, revise and develop program components to enhance client service in consultation with the Executive Director and the Leadership Team based upon Willow Place’s Clinical Framework
