Assembler-production Co-ordinater

A manufacturer of cable assemblies and wire harnesses, and distributor of electrical/ electronic wire and cable, is seeking a highly organized, task oriented and quality conscious individual for the position of:
**Cable Assembler /Production Co-ordinator - PART-TIME**
**Applicants must be willing to work a flexible part-time schedule. This position may lead to full-time hours dependent on work loads.**
Applicants must possess:
- Ability to read schematic drawings
- Ability to read and write English fluently
- Excellent math skills
- Eye for detail
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to work comfortably with various computer programs
- Excellent organization and time management skills
Primary automated Cable Assembly Responsibilities will include:
- Automated and manual termination,
- Hand soldering,
- Light assembly,
- Wire processing,
- Machine operation and
- Additional tasks related to our value-added services.
Additional Production Tasks may include:
- Kitting job orders
- Product testing
- Automated and manual inventory control
- Job costing including creation of bill of materials and process instructions
- Time Studies for continuous improvement of processes
- Maintain proper filing of sensitive customer drawing and work instructions
- Coordinating production schedules to ensure timely deliveries and scheduling of new orders
- Other duties as assigned
Favourable consideration will be given to a student or recent graduate of a post-secondary electronics technician or engineering program looking to gain some valuable hands-on experience or to those possessing an aptitude for and/or a background in electro/mechanical assembly.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
