We're currently seeking a seasonal Asphalt Lab Technician to join us for an approximately 8-month term.
**The Opportunity**:
As a part of our impressive team of engineers and technologists, you'll have the chance to collaborate closely while performing lab monitoring, testing, and investigations under the guidance of our Technical Services Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct laboratory testing of asphalt, soil, and aggregate materials.
- Adhere to legislative testing guidelines with precision and understanding.
- Ensure detailed and accurate testing, data entry, and reporting.
- Manage rush testing, time effectively, and meet deliverables.
- Travel to sites to collect samples for testing purposes.
- Assist the Lab Coordinator/Supervisor as needed.
- Coordinate the shipping of samples to other offices for testing.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in construction or a similar materials setting is an asset.
- Possession of CCIL/CSA certification would be a plus.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Display meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of lifting 50lbs or more.
- Hold a valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision while effectively communicating with colleagues and management.
- Flexibility to work up to 12 hours a day, including some weekends and overtime.
- Commitment to teamwork and safety excellence.

Contract length: 8-10 months
**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
