**Overview**
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the project's procurement and opening the budget for purchasing. With a high level of interaction with vendors, contractors, suppliers, and preferred brand partners, the incumbent will manage and facilitate the sourcing, ordering, purchasing and payment, shipping, and delivery of products.
**What you will be doing?**
- Manage all aspects of the procurement process, from initial documentation preparation to contract and negotiation, in accordance with best practices and guides consistent with the brand.
- Reviews invoices for products and services related to the department; analyzes variances and takes corrective actions.
- Monitors all purchases of materials and supplies and builds and maintains solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Acts as the primary liaison during contract development and is responsible for negotiating contract terms, conditions, and pricing with internal and external business partners.
- Responsible for diligent reviews and updates to existing contracts, including risk analysis and mitigation considerations.
- Prepare a procurement schedule, ensuring that all parties are accountable to meet required deadlines.
- Provides advice and expertise regarding the procurement process and documents to project managers, internal staff, and external consultants.
- Analyze contracts with an eye toward reducing costs and increasing profits, while ensuring compliance with the law.
**What are the requirements for this role**
- Education: Diploma or certificate required. A construction, engineering, or business degree/diploma. Two or four-year degree preferred.
- Experience: Two years’ experience in purchasing or procurement within a construction firm or hospitality venue. Prior experience within a luxury brand is preferred.
- Advanced attention to detail and risk mitigation skills
- Superior customer service skills, with the ability to effectively build and manage relationships at all levels both with internal and external partners.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current construction and procurement laws and regulations.
