Steamworks Brewing Company is looking for someone to lead the quality program at our Burnaby Brewery. The Quality Manager will be responsible for the quality of our beverages as well as upholding safety standards in the brewery. The Quality Manager will report to the Director of Brewing and Blending Operations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Direct daily activities in the lab including routine, standardized testing of ingredients and products throughout all stages of production
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment; order supplies; maintain equipment; keep records, create SOPs
- Supervise lab technicians and educate and support other staff as needed
- Collect and analyse quality data; suggest, facilitate, and monitor process changes to improve existing quality standards and develop solutions to emerging issues
- Maintain communication with all departments concerning quality standard and issues
- Support R&D initiatives including the development of new processes and products
- Stay up to date on current research, trends, and technology relating to product quality
- Uphold health and safety standards of the brewery
- Assist in other areas as needed: brewing, cellaring, packaging, and other duties

**Education and Experience Required**
- B.Sc. in Biology or a related field and at least 3 years experience in food/beverage production
- Other relevant combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Knowledge and/or experience in quality management, ideally in food/beverage production, is an asset
- Lab management and supervisory experience is an asset

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
