**Salary**: $1,913.27 to $2,342.49 bi-weekly ($49,936 - $61,138/year)

Alberta Infrastructure designs, builds, manages and maintains government-owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that schools, hospitals and government facilities infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. The Ministry also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

**Role Responsibilities**:
As the Executive Administrator to the Executive Director, you are responsible for providing senior administrative support including:

- Coordinating the response to a variety of internal and external requests.
- Managing Branch action requests via ARTs.
- Coordinating the financial administration for the branch including budget and expenditure monitoring and forecasting.
- Reviewing operational processes and briefing the Executive Director on administrative issues that may impact the Branch and/or Division.
- Building strong relationships with the Assistant Deputy Minister’s Office and other administrative staff.
- Building and maintaining strong supportive relationships with internal GOA stakeholders and external contacts.
- Managing the Executive Director’s calendar, screening meeting requests, and prioritizing meetings.
- Supporting the Executive Director with general administrative functions such as BERNIE requests, 1GX, staffing request coordination, and other transactional responsibilities.
- General administrative duties for the branch, including supporting Managers and Analysts and other branches as required.

The complexity and high profile nature of the priority initiatives requires being proactive and adaptable to rapidly changing environments This senior support position is responsible for providing a high level of efficient and effective administrative and office functions. The work deals with high volumes, high urgency, high complexity and often politically sensitive issues. This position supports management and professional staff and will be expected to work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Qualifications**:
**Required**: High school diploma and three years of related experience

**Equivalency**: Directly related experience or education considered on the basis of: one year of experience for one year of education or one year of education for one year of experience.

**The following will be considered assets**:

- Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft suite, SharePoint, Adobe and SAP (1GX). Comfortable using virtual meeting technology (MS Teams, Webex, etc)
- Sound knowledge of the governmental administrative protocols, policies and procedures
- Ability to manage numerous administrative tasks, determine relative importance of each, set deadlines and complete projects accordingly
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgements on sensitive, confidential issues with mínimal supervision
- Knowledge of basic budget procedures
- Knowledge of government records management procedures, Financial Services and Information Technology
