Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Senior Director, the incumbent will have accountability for the continued development of the Operational Risk program at HOOPP. The Associate Director, Operational Risk Management will also be responsible for specific deliverables related to the execution of the ORM program and will leverage program outputs to perform appropriate analysis and deliver value-added operational risk insights. In support of the enterprise-wide mandate of the program and team, the Associate Director will be expected to develop solid working relationships with cross-functional partners across HOOPP.

What you will do:
- Leverage existing risk management processes and capabilities within E&ORM and across HOOPP, as well as industry knowledge to support the design, implementation, enhancement, ongoing maintenance, and execution of HOOPP’s ORM program and underlying processes, including but not limited to:
- Operational Risk Event reporting- Key Risk Indicators- Industry Event surveillance and reporting- Deep Dive Analysis- Provide analytical and operational support to the maintenance and execution of HOOPP’s operational risk event reporting process, and the undertaking of associated procedures, including ongoing monitoring of the program for continued relevance and effectiveness.- Leverage existing industry best-practices and experience in risk management to aid in the ongoing design and implementation of HOOPP non-financial risk taxonomies, contributing to a common language for risk across the organization.- Monitor the effectiveness of ORM program components, ensuring ongoing relevance for HOOPP.- Support business partners in their implementation of ORM program components within their respective divisions.- Over time and in a staged manner, provide strong analytical, operational and change management (including training and communications) support to the Senior Director, Operational Risk in the ongoing design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a consistent suite of frameworks, methods and tools (for example: quarterly operational risk reporting and associated standards) to identify, assess, monitor, and report operational risks.- Work in partnership with key HOOPP internal stakeholders to contribute operational risk-based expertise to the development and implementation of enterprise-wide policies and/or frameworks related to, for instance, business continuity management, privacy risk management, fraud risk management and reputational risk management.- Support the Senior Director, Operational Risk in the implementation of operational risk tools throughout HOOPP and in the provision of advice and counsel to the design, implementation, maintenance, and facilitation of businesses’ execution of various risk-based policies across HOOPP.- Contribute to risk research aimed at improving HOOPP's ability to pro-actively respond to changes in operational risk factors.- Collaborate with and provide ongoing program updates to the Associate Director, Operational Risk Systems & Reporting, in facilitating their mandate of ensuring that systems and reporting technologies supporting the Operational Risk program remain aligned with program requirements.- Support the Senior Director, Operational Risk in undertaking ad-hoc projects and risk assessments, in whole or in part, as assigned by the Senior Director.

What you bring:
