Construction Labourer

Norellco Contractors is an Edmonton-based company servicing heavy construction from small to large projects. Our main projects consist of roadbuilding, grading, and water and sewer installations.
**Job Profile**:
- Setting up traffic plans with barricades and signage
- Help dig trenches in preparation of lying of pipes
- Identify utility lines
- Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and the work crew
- Operation of concrete saw, air guns, air compressors, drills, plate tampers, jumping jacks and cut-off saws
- Provide labour support as needed
- Must ensure an understanding of, and comply with the company’s Health and Safety Program, including safe work practices and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned may include unloading of construction materials, erection and dismantling of forms, mix, pour and spread materials such as road crush and fillcrete.
**Preferred Qualifications & Skills**:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to manually lift material
- 2-3 years of experience working in a similar position
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
**Requirements**:
- Must have the following training: CSTS, WHMIS
- Additional training in: Confined Space, Ground Disturbance, Flag Person, First Aid would be an asset
- Use of personal protective equipment is required.
- Travel as required.
- Overtime as required.
- Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol policy.
- Must comply with all company policies.
- Work environment is outdoors, and in all weather conditions.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
**Salary**: $19.00-$28.00 per hour
