**THE ROLE** Coordinator**:
As a Travel and Recreation Coordinator, you are part of an enthusiastic team of adventurous individuals who enjoy travel, meaningful employment, and contributing in a team-based environment. Excited by the opportunity to deploy as a civilian among our CAF personnel abroad, you are a team player with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude in a fast-paced setting. You are able to adapt to new challenges in an ever-changing dynamic environment, where an unconventional workweek is commonplace

**Supervisor**:
Working in a team setting, you will be contributing at the forefront of supporting Canada’s military abroad. You will be coordinating one of the most exciting part of any deployment
- Vacation. You will oversee the Home Leave Travel Assistance (HLTA) program and services. You will coordinate travel to reunite CAF members with family at home or to an approved destination abroad for the duration of their vacation. You will conduct briefings, provide advice and guidance while ensuring policy is followed.

In addition, you play an important role in enhancing the morale of CAF members by planning recreational activities, outings and events. Keeping CAF members energized ensures they are mentally and physically ready to sustain the rigours of operations, and live healthy balanced lives. You will be able to use your creativity in finding innovating ways to help pass leisurely time and will occasionally be able to accompany CAF members for the activity.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

Must have a College diploma or certificate in a Travel and Tourism program with some years of experience in the travel industry, or a demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience with current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications

**Experience**
- Experience in coordinating and planning travel and accommodations
- Experience in travel claim preparation and processes
- Experience in coordinating and planning recreational activities;
- Experience in conducting presentations;
- Experience in providing recommendation regarding tourist attractions, foreign currency, customs, languages and travel safety;
- Experience in providing recommendation regarding tourist attractions, foreign currency, customs, languages and travel safety
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills;
Supervisor (Additional experience in)
- Experience in supervising and planning for services such as travel and accommodation
- Experience in invoice processing and payment
- Experience of Treasury Board rules and regulations and the travel directives
- Experience in personnel administration

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
English Essential / French Essential / Bilingual an asset

- Completion of a health, dental and psychosocial assessment;
- Enhanced Reliability (background check);

- Canadian citizenship;
- Must have a valid Canadian passport;
- Possess a valid Canadian driver’s license;
- Willingness to work a non-conventional workweek (e.g. 56hrs per week/weekends);
- Position requires walking, heavy lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. 50 lbs/ 23 kg or more);

**START DATE AND LOCATION INFORMATION**
Deployment start dates may take place within the next 2 years

Deployment contracts are for 6 month terms

Coordinator and Supervisor positions will be filled through this competition

CFMWS has been delivering morale and welfare programs to deployed CAF members since 2000 in the area of fitness, sports and recreation.
