We are looking for a **Strategy Consultant**to join our Insurance Solutions team within the Retail Advice & Solutions business of Sun Life Canada. In this role, you will work closely with senior business leaders across the organization to support key strategic initiatives from ideation through high-level design and recommendations.

Success in this role requires critical thinkers with a passion for solving business problems, effective communicators with experience working with senior leaders, and team players that love to be part of fast-paced teams and can quickly foster relationships with peers in the organization.

**What you will do**:

- Support delivery of strategy initiatives from the idea stage to execution
- Drive strategy development, including research, analysis, and compiling strategic recommendations that solve business problems
- Develop and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis and extract relevant insights independently and accurately
- Synthesize findings into a clearly articulated storyline, enabling leaders to make timely data-driven product, market development, technology, operational, and/or distribution decisions
- Create clear, organized slides and other formal communications that draw out key messages and supporting data
- Prepare project plans to ensure deliverables and timelines are met
- Effectively prioritize tasks and deliverables to ensure successful delivery of project objectives
- Take full ownership of work, effectively, efficiently, and reliably executing tasks based on key milestones and seeking guidance where required
- Proactively seek feedback, keep manager informed, articulate personal development objectives, and communicate personal commitments

- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment
- Self-motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams, as both a leader and member
- Strong quantitative skills including data interpretation, model creation, and information visualization
- Strong presentation and written communication skills
- Ability to think at the detailed diagnostic level as well as at the higher opportunity level
- Effective planning and analytical skills, ability to focus on the critical business issues in a data-driven and fact-based manner
- Resourceful in learning and ramping up content knowledge in new domains rapidly
- Superior interpersonal skills, leadership, and influencing capabilities

**What would be nice to have?**
- Knowledge of the individual insurance space & industry in Canada or US
- Experience in managing large scale initiatives across various stakeholders
- Experience in corporate strategy development or management consulting
- Experience in conducting in-depth secondary research, including collection and synthesis
