Due to growth, we are currently seeking a **General Manager - Commerical Property Management **to join our TGA Property Management team. This position reports to the Vice President, Real Estate Operations and is responsible for all aspects of the management of the assigned portfolio of commercial properties including tenant relations and the operation, physical condition and financial performance of all buildings in the assigned portfolio. The position has accountability for employee management, planning, organizing, directing and controlling property management functions within the assigned portfolio.
As a member of the property management team the key responsibilities of the **General Manager - Commercial Property Management **include but are not limited to:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage property operations to achieve budgeted financial results
- Review property results on a monthly and quarterly basis and provide analysis to management
- Ensure rents and other receivables from tenants are collected in accordance with the terms of their lease
- Assist with budgeting and year-end recoveries
- Cost management of operating expenses
- Develop and maintain building procedures and supervise building operations
- Assist with the implementation of new programs, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed
- Conduct periodic property inspections
- Ensure high levels of tenant satisfaction through strong tenant relationships
- Assisting with the leasing and marketing of vacant office, commercial and industrial spaces
- Supervision, management, motivation and coaching of employees
- Perform ongoing assessments and management of performance of subordinates, and seek and implement opportunities for their development and advancement
**Required Knowledge and Experience**:
- 7-10 years experience in Property Management
- Minimum of five (5) years Commercial/Industrial Property Management experience
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Experience with YARDI (Voyager 7S) would be an asset
- Working knowledge and experience in financial accounting in commercial real estate, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Proven ability to identify, evaluate and develop new ideas with supportable results
- Effective negotiation skills to influence and impact at all levels - senior management, peers, direct and indirect reports
- Superior oral and written communication skills
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify risk, thereby mitigating liability
- Strong computer skills - MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Reliable vehicle required travelling to various sites
