Bar Manager

**About the Role**: Fitzrovia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the evening program at our in-house Café Bar, No. 10 Dean, located at the base of our Elm-Ledbury residential tower. No. 10 Dean transforms from a specialty coffee bar during the day into a vibrant cocktail bar at night, offering high-quality wine, beer, cocktails, and shareable snacks to residents and guests. The Bar Manager will report to the Regional Manager, 10 Dean, and work closely with the Café Manager to ensure seamless coordination across all day-to-night operations. Together, they will support the Lead Cook and ensure the food program complements and enhances both beverage offerings. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader with a passion for cocktail culture, strong leadership skills, and a keen eye for guest experience and operational excellence. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Lead the Night Program**: Oversee and elevate the evening bar experience at 10 DEAN, ensuring exceptional execution of our cocktail, wine, and beer offerings. - **Team Leadership**: Manage, train, and schedule the bartender team, cultivating a high-performance culture grounded in hospitality, teamwork, and accountability. - **Menu Innovation**: Develop and refresh cocktail menus regularly, including seasonal updates and creative specials, while also contributing to cocktail development for other 10 DEAN kiosks with a focus on high-quality, executable offerings tailored to their unique spatial and operational constraints. - **Cross-Program Alignment**: Collaborate with the Café Manager and Lead Cook to ensure fluid transitions between day and night programming and seamless integration between the food and beverage offerings. - **Guest Experience**: Consistently deliver and model warm, elevated service, resolving issues with professionalism and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at all times. - **Inventory & Cost Control**: Oversee inventory levels, order supplies, track recipe and portion costs, and complete monthly stock counts accurately and efficiently. - **Supplier & Product Management**: Build strong relationships with vendors, identify new product opportunities, and support ongoing quality and cost improvements. - **Financial Oversight**: Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to Fitzrovia’s financial procedures, including daily balances and reconciliations. - **Events & Engagement**: Lead both public and internal events—including resident gatherings, private bookings, and corporate initiatives—by developing beverage menus, managing logistics, and ensuring brand-aligned execution. - **Strategic Initiatives**: Support ongoing hospitality initiatives beyond day-to-day operations, such as retail offerings (e.g. cocktail kits), batched cocktails for amenity dispensers, and other program extensions, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach. - **Staffing Coverage**: Ensure the bar is adequately staffed during all hours of operation, stepping in as needed to maintain smooth service and operational continuity. - **Compliance & Cleanliness**: Maintain full compliance with liquor regulations, uphold all health and safety standards, and ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and ready for service at all times. **Qualifications and Experiences**: - 2-3 years of bartending/mixology experience, with 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting - Diploma or certificate in hospitality or event management is considered an asset - Smart Serve Certification (required); Food Handlers' Certification (required) - Deep knowledge of spirits, cocktail techniques, and current beverage trends, with the ability to create visually compelling and well-balanced drinks - Working knowledge of food, wine, beer, and coffee; experience preparing specialty coffee beverages is an asset - Hospitality-driven with excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills - Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities - Skilled at motivating and managing a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment - Self-motivated, curious, and results-driven, with keen attention to detail - Able to multitask effectively while maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude - Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays **Why Us**: Join the dynamic team at 10 Dean, where every day is an opportunity to excel in the art of hospitality.
