**What you'll be doing**
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Managing internal monthly reporting requirements, including preparing financial statements, financial projections, key metrics, etc.
- Managing the annual audit and working directly with Flahmingo’s auditor
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving journal entries
- Ensuring Flahmingo’s cap table is kept up-to-date
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, including tax planning (including SR&ED) and compliance
- From time to time, work on projects, including the implementation of new systems, and process improvement

**What we are looking for**
- Open to all levels of finance experience, must be excited to learn and execute
- Experience managing the accounting function and team
- Experience with Quickbooks online and strong Excel skills
- Very detailed oriented
- Has the ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Passionate about startups and fintech
- Ability to work under pressure in an early-stage company with rapidly evolving priorities while meeting hard deadlines
