**As Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for**:

- Quality control testing including verifying samples, testing products and reporting results
- Performing tests and analysis in accordance with different standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, CSA and others
- Proper use of lab equipment, its maintenance, calibration and follow-up
- Reporting any non-conforming results to team and management
- Performing laboratory tests for research and development projects and communicating test results
- Working closely with the Operations team with the goal of improving plant efficiency and reworking non-conforming product
- Supporting the Sales team by communicating test results
- Reporting technical results from lab work and/or job site data collected by the Sales team

**We Need Your Skills**

**To be successful in this role, you should**:

- Have a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Chemical Engineering Technology or equivalent
- Have a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle for transportation to and from job sites when required (vehicle allowance provided)
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have basic knowledge of concrete
- Be able to lift up to 66 lbs. without assistance
- Have a strong ability to problem solve, keep organized and show initiation
