Food and Beverage Supervisor

Objective: To oversee the F&B department including banquets, Hearth room breakfast and lounge bar and ensure department runs within budgeted guidelines. Ensure all Health & Safety and food service procedures and policies are adhered to by F&B Attendants. To provide daily direction and support F&B associates to provide Service So Memorable.**Responsibilities**:
- To recommend and implement control procedures to protect company assets.
- To monitor productivity, making necessary adjustments to operate within the budgeted guidelines.
- Maintain strict controls on F&B expenses through proper ordering and maintaining proper stock levels.
- To submit payroll on a timely basis.
- To complete in the monthly beverage and food inventories.
- Ensure department standards are being met and followed by all associates
- To communicate expectations to Associates through: Performance Appraisals, Training, Departmental Orientation, Monthly Departmental Meetings and Scheduling and Daily Huddles.
- To make recommendations for hiring new associates.
- To be a hands-on manager working closely with the associates helping them in constantly improving our GSS scores
- To implement and maintain any new Residence Inn service and product standards.
- To recognize associates when appropriate.
- Supervise daily activities of associates.
- Conduct daily huddles.
- Maintain accurate expense tracking.
- Oversee and ensure all banquet standards are met for each function.
- Provide the required tools and equipment to associates for the execution of service delivery for all food & beverage outlets.
- To manage the operation of the food & beverage outlets conforming to local liquor and health & safety laws.
- Respond in a prompt and professional manner to guest requests and complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction
- Ensures food on buffet or from kitchen has good presentation.
- Inspect restaurant daily to ensure high quality food and food presentation and cleanliness.

- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Always provides a professional image through appearance and dress.
- Follows company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned and required
- To communicate service deficiencies and/or associate issues to the Operations Manager and General Manager.
Qualifications:
- At least two years supervisory experience in food & beverage or other department.
- Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written required.
- Smart Serve Certification required.
- Food Handlers Certification required.
- Diploma/degree in hospitality or related topic preferred.
- Knowledge of Micros, Fosse an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office programs i.e. Word, Excel.
- Knowledge of ADP is an asset.
7am to 330pm
Some evening shifts availability required.
