**About the Opportunity**
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will assist in the daily operations of the Accounting Department, participate with monthly and yearly financial reporting, as well as assist with various special projects.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Prepare quarterly, annual and financial statements for numerous companies on a consolidated and non-consolidated basis
- Prepare monthly budget expense reports for numerous companies on a consolidated basis
- Prepare and file monthly GST returns
- Perform and review monthly bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare adjusting journal entries at month-end and year-end
- Review and/or prepare working papers and schedules at year-end for external auditors; Review yearly financials and corporate tax returns
- Assist in the preparation of forecasts and budgets
- Review accounts payable, receivable and general ledger entries for accuracy and ensure they are processed in a timely manner
- Become extensively knowledgeable of SAGE 300 accounting software, AP Automation Software and Banking Systems and integration of the programs
- Ensure internal control policies are followed and provide recommendations for any improvements
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management
**Desired Skills/Experience**:
- Professional accounting designation
- Minimum four years full cycle accounting and financial reporting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple demands and deadlines
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and collaboratively as a team
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Excellent oral/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills with MS Office software required, experience with Sage 300 software is preferred
